I just want to double check.

Im a part time student and still live at home. Im trying to apply for a $5000 personal loan for my first car. I dont really have any decent assets besides a laptop, desktop and 32 inch Samsung lcd tv.

My weekly net income is about $570
Are these assets enough for a secured loan? or should I just stick to applying for a unsecured loan?
