Out front, the South Yarra Modern House transformed by Nixon Tulloch Fortey Architecture is all business and it looks like one of the houses in classical movies. However, the rear end of the dream home is all party and pleasure ? much to my delight!
This modern home is very inspiring to say the least. Its interiors are sophisticated and luxurious but it also has a touch of simplicity that I find alluring and attractive. What attracts me most is the neat and great kitchen not to mention the simplicity of the bathroom design. I must say the design is more functional than boastful but it has the elegance that oozes out of its every corner.
The modern architecture is neat and stunning but in one way or another it is composed of two opposing designs ? the business-like front and the party-like back. If you wouldn?t look close enough, you wouldn?t think you?re looking at the same house. The implemented house floor plans did the trick and the modern architects created a design that seamlessly combined the designs so both don?t look out of place. If anything, they did a fantastic job in incorporating the modern design elements for this home.
I particularly like the living room and the fireplace just sets the mood. The color scheme of the house reinforces both the classic and modern design mainly in grey scale but with colors sprinkled just where they are needed the most like the painting on the wall.
Overall, I find this architecture and interior design really inspirational and the layout is self-explanatory. It made all things nearly possible for this house to demonstrate such excellent design concept that I have never encountered before.
