Organizational Development Specialist ? Contract
Company:? Large automotive manufacturing company, Anderson, SC

Hourly rate up to approx. $30-33/hour

Length of assignment: Minimum 6 months (9/12 ? 2/13), will be reviewed monthly after that, strong potential to go 1-2+ years??????

Hours:? Normal business hours
Candidates must be local to the Anderson/Greenville, SC area

Job duties:

?

  1. Enable organizational change by facilitating appropriate change strategies. (i.e. alignment of organizational systems and structures).?
  2. Coach and mentor leadership on change management process, tools and their application.
  3. Proactively identify and remove barriers to successful change management to ensure positive outcomes/experiences in organizational and cultural change.
  4. Provide process consultancy and training for continuous improvement process (CIP), System to Point CIP, problem solving, etc. in a lean environment.
  5. Facilitate and systematically improve annual Goal Deployment process.
  6. Implement global and divisional standards.
  7. Lead the management team in continuously improving employee relations through effective and consistent handling of work and personnel practices.? Support involvement of CIP programs which promote employee involvement in responsible decision making.
  8. Support organization by providing counsel to all associates on job related problems and activities with the full intent of developing an empowered work force.
  9. Provide counsel to management in employment activities including problem solving, corrective action, administration, and development needs.
  10. Perform various tasks as necessary in support of department.? Support Production System CIP activities and Policy Deployment objectives.?

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Must Have)

?

- Bachelor?s degree

- 4+ years of experience in field of Organizational Development, Change Management, Operations, Continuous Improvement, Process Consultancy, Lean Management, or Lean Production Systems

?

PREFERRED (Nice to have)

?

- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Engineering, or related field

- Strong ability to analyze current conditions and future requirements, develop corrective actions and change strategies, monitor achievement of results, remove barriers, and coach management as well as associates to successful resolution

- Experience in using Value Stream Mapping, Process Mapping, Standardized Work tools, and/or structured Problem Solving tools (e.g. Six-Sigma, Shainin TransaXional, Shainin RedX, Kepner Tregoe, etc.)

- Experience in leading cross-functional projects

- Experience in team facilitation (incl. facilitation of executive levels) and training (all levels of the organization)

- Ability to get things done without direct authority

- Demonstrated Change Agent and effective plant-wide communicator

- Strong business partner
